This week Lycaeum held one of its many workshops at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Both children and their parents were invited to spend 2 hours learning about the fundamentals of improvisation and interacting with one another musically.

All those things like attentive listening, melody making, imitation, being creative, and accompanying the others were touched upon, in what one child described as ‘a really cool day!’.

Join us next in our new season of workshops in the autumn of 2018.

‘The true beauty of music is that it connects people. It carries a message, and we, the musicians, are the messengers.’ – Roy Ayers
